TRANSPORT FACILITIES

Students can avail of the School Transport subject to the availability of seats. The routes of the school buses are drawn and the parents should consult the school transport incharge for necessary details. Bus facility is not mandatory

Bus Rules

1. All the students using the school bus are expected to be on the right side of the bus stops at least five minutes before the arrival time of the bus.
2. The buses will not wait for the late comers.
3. The children should stay away from the main road until the bus arrives.
4. No student should come near the entry door of the bus unless it has made a complete stop.
5. All students must occupy vacant seats immediately after boarding their buses.
6. The front door of the bus is the only authorized entrance and exit.
7. The drivers are authorized to stop buses at the designated stop only, unless otherwise directed by the bus teacher. The list of stops is prepared keeping in view the convenience and safety of all bus commuters and is always subject to change.
8. When the bus is in motion students must not move around in the bus and no part of their body should be outside the bus.
9. Objects of any kind must not be discarded inside or thrown out of the bus.
10. Students will be held responsible for any damage to bus caused by negligence or vandalism.
11. No student is allowed to eat in the bus.
12. Unruly behaviour like shrieking and shouting is strictly prohibited. Courteous behaviour is expected at all times.
13. The driver’s attention must not be distracted for any reason.
14. The bus teacher, and student bus monitors are responsible for maintaining discipline in the buses. Any serious offence must be reported to the Principal.
15. Students who are not using school buses are called supervision children. Parents of these students must apply on the prescribed format for having a supervision card. This supervision card bears the particulars of students, photographs of parents, students and the attendant who is authorized to pick up the child from the school. The child will not be handed over without this card. This card is to be made in the presence of parents from the Transport Department.
16. Transport facility is provided for the convenience of the students, although it is not an obligatory service of the school.
17. Students must report at the scheduled stop 5 minutes before the bus arrival time.
18. Students travelling by the school bus should always be in proper school uniform with school ID card otherwise they will not be allowed to board the bus.
19. Buses will be available only on the routes and at stops fixed by the school and any request for new stops will not be entertained. However, the school reserves the right to make any change if found inevitable.
20. No student will be allowed to board a bus other than the one allotted, unless he/she has written permission from the school authorities.
21. Applications for school transport, transport cancellation, change of bus stops, change of bus route etc. should be submitted to school Transport Incharge one month in advance.
22. If a student wants to get down at a different bus stop, he/she should submit a request signed by the parent to the Principal/Transport Office and obtain special permission for the same.
23. The bus facility will be cancelled for those students who damage any bus fittings or indulge in acts of misbehavior/indiscipline in the bus.
24. In case of misbehavior in the bus, the teacher/driver is authorized to take immediate necessary steps and report the matter to the Principal/Transport Incharge for further actions, if necessary. Such a student will be taken off the bus.
25. Eating, drinking or playing any game in the bus is strictly forbidden.
26. The school buses are fitted with a speed governor. There is a fully equipped first aid box in every bus. As you are aware the school will take every precaution for the safety of the children, however, the school is not responsible for situations beyond its control.
27. Whenever there is an after school bus route, the buses will cover only a few common stops on the main roads in that area. The regular route will not ply on such occasions.
28. Parents are requested to forward all requests regarding transport to the Transport Incharge. All requests may not be accepted.
29. Please note that the Transport Incharge is handling over 1500 students and is not always available to speak to parents. Please ensure you call only in case of an emergency.
30. Parents of children from classes Nur. to V should come/send a responsible person to receive their ward from the bus stop failing which the child will be brought back to school.
31. Please ensure that, under no circumstances, any parent boards the bus to discuss problem of their ward. In case any issue is to be discussed, please meet with the school authorities.
32. We will not handover the children to strangers.
